The tiniest moments often become the ones we treasure most.

Before I was a newborn photographer, I was simply a mom who wished I could freeze time.

I'm Sara—the wife, mama to two beautiful daughters, bonus mom, follower of Christ, and photographer behind Just Newborn Photography in Sacramento.

If motherhood has taught me anything, it's that life changes overnight. One day you're counting tiny fingers and memorizing every little feature, and before you know it, they're taking their first steps, losing their first tooth, or asking to be tucked in "one more time." Those tiny moments that once felt ordinary suddenly become the ones you miss the most.

That's why I do what I do.

My journey into motherhood wasn't easy. After experiencing multiple pregnancy losses before welcoming my daughters, I came to understand something I will never forget: every baby is a miracle, every moment is a gift, and every season deserves to be remembered.

That perspective changed me forever.

It shaped the way I hold each newborn, the patience I bring into every session, and the deep gratitude I feel every time a family places their trust in me. I know these aren't just photographs. They're the beginning of your family's story.

When you walk into my studio, I want you to feel like you can finally exhale.

Everything has been thoughtfully prepared before you arrive—from soft wraps and carefully chosen props to a warm, peaceful environment where your only job is to soak in your new baby. Every session is completely baby-led, never rushed, and centered around your little one's comfort and safety.

Over the years, I've had the incredible privilege of photographing hundreds of babies throughout the Sacramento area. It never feels routine. Every family has a different story. Every baby is deeply loved. Every gallery I deliver carries the hope that decades from now, these images will bring you right back to the way they fit perfectly in your arms.

When I'm not in the studio, you'll usually find me exactly where my heart is happiest—spending time with my family, tending to my garden, dreaming up our next home project, or chasing after my girls while wondering how they're growing up so fast.

Above all else, my faith in Christ is the foundation of my life. It shapes how I love my family, how I serve others, and how I care for every baby who enters my studio. I truly believe children are one of God's greatest blessings, and it is an incredible honor to preserve the beginning of their stories.
